The Sikh National Enquiry

We are doing the National Sikh Inquiry so If you are a Sikh female who lived in the UK from the 1960s onwards… please take a moment to listen.
You may have experienced grooming, abuse, or exploitation as a teenager or young adult. At the time, you may not have even realised it. You might feel that no crime was committed; because grooming often makes victims feel like it was their own choice.
But it wasn’t your choice. You were manipulated. Taken advantage of. And what happened to you matters.
Especially for those of us from traditional Punjabi families, speaking about these things can feel impossible. There’s fear, stigma, and a sense of shame.
Maybe you’ve moved on. You’re happily married. You have children. You don’t want to reopen old wounds.
But now, more than ever, your voice matters. The Sikh national inquiry is listening.
And it doesn’t matter how long ago it happened. You may not remember every name or detail. That’s okay.
Even a small piece of your story can help protect future generations. You could help stop this happening to someone else.
You are not alone. You are not to blame. And you deserve justice.

Please… speak up. It’s your time
